Importance: Lagoa Mirim is a water body located on the border between the State of Rio Grande do Sul, in the extreme south of Brazil, and Uruguay. Today, the depth of the shipping canal is not enough to guarantee safe vessel traffic throughout the year. The project aims to deepen and maintain the navigation canal, ensuring safe vessel traffic throughout the year. The project will improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of waterway transport, with consequent mitigation of liabilities generated by an inadequate operation.
