Importance: Fertilizers constitute the second main cargo of the Port of Paranaguá, with a share
equivalent to 19.9% of the total handled, or 7,760,386 tons (2016 data), which is equivalent to
28.8% of the total handled in the country, being responsible for supplying the states of Paraná,
Mato Grosso and Goiás.
