Importance: Originally auctioned in 2012, Viracopos International Airport (SBKP) is the second most important in Brazil’s cargo sector (in volume). The Viracopos Airport is essential to the country’s economic dynamics, as an inducer of development in Campinas (SP) and region, due  to the logistical support related to industrial operations that the airport offers as a part of the competition strategies of large companies installed in Brazil, especially to those that operate in international trade.
